October He walked west as a long, dark, shivering, October shadow loitered behind.October by ~KenAsh88
“I don’t have much time.” he thought. “Probably by the end of this street.” he added.
The familiar white building stood, hallowed in its place, as it should. It dimmed now, as it had before, slowly. Upon his approach, the sun shouted, keening, as light sprung from the front window, seeming brighter now, but disappearing in a few long seconds as his strides carried him away. The sun spilled the last of its flame, staining the sky.
